Mimi’s Chocolate Chip Cookies


2.25 cups chocolate chips 

2.25 cups all-purpose flour 

1 teaspoon baking soda 

1 teaspoon salt 

Two 2 sticks butter, room temperature (soften in microwave if need be) 

.75 cup granulated sugar 

.75 cup packed brown sugar 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract 

2 large eggs


Preheat oven to 375° F. Whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in large bowl until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Gradually beat in entire small bowl contents. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.


Bake until golden brown (for 9-11 minutes). Cool on baking sheets then move to wire rack.
